Enrollment Process

Application for LIC Agency

You need to apply for LIC agency with proper documentation as mentioned below by filling the official application form provided by us. You may visit the LIC branch office directly, or you can fix an appointment with our team members at your workplace or at your home at a time convenient to you to complete the process smoothly.

Documentation for LIC Agency

While meeting us, please carry a photocopy of the following documents for easy registration. These documents are mandatory for examination and for obtaining the LIC agent license.

Fee Structure for Examination
  • Registration FeeRs. 150
  • Online TrainingRs. 150
  • Online Exam FeeRs. 500
  • Total FeesRs. 800

You need to pay total fees of Rs. 800 to become a LIC Agent. However, if you solve these 5 questions correctly, then you do not need to pay any fees.

Preparation

You need to complete online or offline training of 25 hours to become eligible for the LIC examination.

  • Training can be completed online or offline as per your convenience
  • LIC training certificate will be issued after successful completion

Examination

After successful completion of training, you need to appear for an online examination conducted by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA).

You will clear the examination by securing the required passing marks – 17 out of 50.

License

After successful completion of the examination, you will be awarded an Appointment Letter by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) to work as an insurance agent.
